Our approach

Our foundation uses a three-pronged approach to build stronger communities. In our focus areas, we:

Support innovative research

Support innovative research

Together with our advisory board of experts in relevant fields, we identify research programmes that promise significant impact and a ripple effect. Our primary focus is on research that incorporates both observational and experimental approaches.

Provide grants to effective charities

Provide grants to effective charities

The foundation supports charities focused on mental health, mindfulness, wellbeing, and nutrition to enhance children's overall welfare. We provide grants that empower these organizations to maximize their impact, leveraging their expertise to scale proven ideas and implement new initiatives.

Launch impactful initiatives

Launch impactful initiatives

We begin by developing a deep understanding of the issues we address, identifying gaps in the system and key points for intervention. With insights from experts and those directly involved in the field, we formulate hypotheses on how to tackle challenges and create opportunities for meaningful change.

In 2023, we launched the Press Pause Initiative to holistically enhance the wellbeing of children, parents, and teachers within the school environment. Our vision is for schools to become spaces where students, parents, and teachers can access mindfulness initiatives. Schools are the heart of our communities and have immense potential to be hubs of wellbeing, too.

Why it matters

We believe that philanthropy holds a unique power to drive change by taking risks and supporting areas that are often overlooked or underfunded. By focusing on initiatives that create lasting, positive impact, we can influence future generations, help break down systemic barriers, and ensure that vital resources are directed toward areas that often lack the support they deserve. Whether it’s providing access to better healthcare for mothers and babies, supporting the mental wellbeing of children and young adults, or amplifying the voices of writers who shape our cultural narratives, we are committed to making a real difference.

We believe that by investing in these causes, we are not only addressing immediate needs but also fostering a better, more equitable world for future generations who are faced with changes of immense magnitude driven by the rapid advancements in A.I. technologies. Our work aims to leave a lasting legacy that transcends financial contributions, sparking a ripple effect of positive change that impacts individuals, families, and entire communities.

“In my view, philanthropy begins with compassion. Compassion for a mother with a baby in the NICU or one suffering from postpartum complications; compassion for a child struggling with mental health issues and for the family enduring that struggle alongside them.

Philanthropy is about recognising cracks in the system — gaps that are overlooked or ignored — and stepping in to help fill them.

Our focus areas are guided by a deep commitment to supporting people in their most vulnerable moments, ensuring they receive the care and resources they need.”
